Multi-media artist Lisa LaRue Baker presents a look at the Native origins of Shawnee County and Topeka, including the early transfer of land ownership in the region. She will share historical context about who originally inhabited and owned land in the area and invite audiences to explore property ownership in the 1850s. This lecture is sponsored by the Topeka Genealogical Society.
