These classes are taught by dietitian Sofia Diaz Buezo, RDN, LD, a K-State Extension Shawnee County Nutrition Extension Agent.
Please register to attend the 6-event series.
As part of the learning experience, the sample meals will be fully prepared onsite during the event. Everyone will have the opportunity to taste the foods and learn more about how to prepare similar dishes with common ingredients and substitution, understand the nutrition in the foods you already have and how to cook healthy meals.
Create Better Health teaches people how to eat well and be active on a budget. The classes focus on teaching participants how to make delicious and nutritious meals from foods they already have on hand. All the information you will receive in Create Better Health classes is based on the USDA’s nutrition and physical activity recommendations.
