Meet a hilarious pig and giggle along while we read Kate DiCamillo's funny book, "Mercy Watson to the Rescue"! Find out if you like buttered toast as much as Mercy does. Silly surprises included!
"Mercy Watson to the Rescue", introduces young readers to Mercy’s quirky personality and the Watson family’s warm but slightly chaotic household. One night, Mr. and Mrs. Watson’s bed begins to sink through the floor, but Mercy, thinking only of breakfast, runs to the neighbors for help. Her unintended heroics save the day, earning her plenty of praise and, of course, buttered toast. This humorous and fast-paced story sets the tone for the rest of the series, showing that Mercy may not be a traditional hero, but her curiosity and love of treats often lead to happy endings. We will make and eat some butter toast to see if we like it as much as Mercy does.
