Part two of The Boxcar Children book by Gertrude Chandler Warner. We will make our own boxcar fort with blankets and boxes to sit in while reading more about this resourceful family. Snack included.
The Boxcar Children book is about four, brave, orphaned siblings—Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny Alden—who run away to find a home. Will they live in an abandoned boxcar in the woods? Eventually they find their grandfather and embark on numerous mystery-solving adventures. The book emphasizes themes of self-reliance, family, resourcefulness, and teamwork as they overcome challenges like finding food, staying warm, and caring for each other, culminating in a heartwarming discovery of a loving family. Today, we will enjoy a snack that Henry, Jessie, Violet and Benny enjoyed in their story.
