Join longtime birdwatcher Janeen Walters for a look at the incredible wildlife of Brazil's Pantanal. From colorful birds to South America's "Big Five" mammals, this region is full of surprises.
Janeen Walters has been birdwatching for over 30 years and loves sharing her travels with others. In this program, she takes us to Brazil’s Pantanal—home to the world’s largest freshwater wetlands and a haven for wildlife. You’ll see photos and hear stories of the region’s vibrant birdlife and its most iconic mammals: the Jaguar, Giant Anteater, Giant Otter, Brazilian Tapir, and Capybara. Janeen taught middle school science for 34 years and continues to inspire curiosity through Nature Camp and her work as a zoo docent.
