Learn how to help your family, friends and neighbors navigate the local opportunities that could help them improve their lives, address challenges or engage others in making positive change.
Many people are amazing helpers, but we can't do it all ourselves. Learn how to connect people to local resources, services and opportunities. Be more prepared with current local information, whether you are having a conversation with a neighbor over the backyard fence, chatting with someone in line at the grocery store, noticing a need on a social media post, or replying to a request from someone who has reached out to you.
Learn how to use community resource guides to get people to the next step on their path. We will also identify gaps in local resources, and share tips and challenges for helping others. We will conclude with self-care for people with helpful hearts as well as reviewing personal safety and boundaries.
