Sign up for 12 exciting sessions that will ignite curiosity and stimulate learning by creating real life contexts including lab analyses, print making, cryptograms and investigation.
This forensic science program is for young "Crime Scene Investigators" to engage in hands-on enrichment and critical thinking. Together, we will launch an investigation to solve the mystery of the missing money. We will learn about how to use plausible scenerios to envision probable solutions and solve the problems creatively, work cooperatively in small groups, and use evidence, models, tools and scientific techniques effectively. We might even get silly!
Kids will record their discoveries during each session in their very own student book, which will be supplied. Detective kids will use their deductive reasoning and logical thinking skills to determine the probable culprit in the story of the missing money. Will we succeed and crack the case?
We are using the curriculum created by Community Learning LLC. The activities in the sessions are linked to the Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core State Standards. Each session builds upon the next session so to make the most of our criminal investigation (and have the most fun).
Please register and commit to joining us for all 12 sessions.
