Class Itinerary:
5:30-6:00pm - Library staff in the Level 2 Tech Center can help you print a free copy of your personal credit report.
6:00-7:30pm - Credit Reports and Credit Building class with Rogers Brazier from Housing and Credit Counseling, Inc., including time for questions.
7:30-8:00pm - Hear the inspiring story of a couple counseled by HCCI that paid off over $100,000 of debt in five years and then had a credit score of 800.
Ever wonder what’s in your credit report? Who can get access to your credit report and why? Have you looked at your credit report online in the last year? HCCI’s Counselors will explain how credit is scored and what causes credit scores to change. Librarians and HCCI’s Counselors can help you see your credit report online at no charge. Hear tips for paying off collection debt, disputing errors in your credit report and rebuilding a credit history. Just ahead of the meeting you can stop by the Level 2 Tech Center to print a copy of your personal credit report from www.annualcreditreport.com for free.
