Have an opinion? Big or small, you can get on your soapbox and share it with the room - or you can try to! We'll have breakout box activities and we'll see if your opinion can catch their attention!
School age attendees will have the opportunity to briefly learn about the history of the "soapbox speech" and the physical elevating of oneself to give a speech. Practice with opinions big and small (nonoffensive- i.e. pineapple is the best pizza topping or Topeka needs better transportation!). The other side of the room will have the opportunity to crack the code to the breakout boxes. Can you catch - and hold - their attention with your speech?
