Celebrate the redesigned Kids Library with donor recognition, a ribbon cutting and Pigeon from Mo Willems books will perform a piece fro Topeka Civic Theatre & Academy show followed by a story.
The Kids Library offers new and improved spaces including a bigger storytime area, increased imaginative play areas, a new aquarium, enclosed infant play area, a campground and a rock-climbing wall. Teens have their own area that includes books, gaming computers and casual seating.

Sabatini Gallery, the Millennium Café, Chandler Booktique (bookstore and gift shop), free meeting rooms, computer training and free Wi-Fi access. The library has a collection of more than 414,000 books and serves more than 81,000 registered borrowers. Bookmobiles make 23 stops Monday-Saturday across Shawnee County. The library offers state-of-the art technology, youth programs that encourage learning and reading, adult learning programs, online learning tools, events, and reference and research tools.
