The Bel Canto Duo pairs music and text by Willa Cather with imagery to create a beautiful, immersive experience. There will be a Q&A session following the performance.
Lifelines collide – brought together by a shooting star, Bel Canto Duo was founded in 2016 by looping artist & cellist, David Downing and multi-instrumentalist, Darci Gamerl. Bel Canto Duo's mission is to create meaningful community and connection through their evocative, classically rooted music. Their compositions combine lyrical, poignant lines with healing modalities. Performed live with their original film, The Four Cather Tableaux, they highlight the masterful work of American author and Pulitzer Prize winner, Willa Cather.
