Watch a live performance of classical and contemporary music arranged for a flute trio, quartet, and full flute choir. They will also play the piccolo, alto flute, and bass flute.
In 2014 Susan Crone started an amateur adult Prairie Winds Flute Choir in Topeka. Members come together to play with other like-minded flutists who have a great desire to make beautiful music. Members joined the choir from local community bands, Facebook posts, a newspaper ad, and by word of mouth. Susan moved to Overland Park last year and the choir has continued under its own direction. The group meets once a week and holds concerts at local assisted living centers and other public venues.
