Marvin Auditorium 101CJourney to southern Ecuador to see bird species from tiny Little Woodstar hummingbirds to big, gooselike birds called the Horned Screamer. Carol Morgan went in 2026 and is back and ready to share!
Carol Morgan was born in Topeka and (except for college) has lived in Topeka all her life. While a college student, some friends took her to see a Great Blue Heron rookery and it blew her mind to see four foot tall birds nesting in the tops of tall cottonwoods and sycamores. Since that time she has been an avid birder. A passion for birding led toward a passion for conservation and the Topeka Audubon Society to ensure that future generations may enjoy birds. Carol has been a member of the Topeka Audubon Society for 30 years and served as President of TAS from 2012-2014 and from 2024 to 2026. She is a retired pharmacist.
