In this fashion display, textile artists created new works inspired by the library's permanent art collections as inspiration. Come see their creations in this fun exhibit!
We all express our individuality by the clothing we choose to wear every day, but do we ever stop to think about who came up with the designs for our shirts and dresses? The artists and designers in this exhibit were invited to select a work of art from the library's permanent art collection to use as inspiration for their fashion designs. They made sketches, chose fabric, and created new pieces, especially for this exhibition. Join us for a behind the scenes look at the processes these artists and designers use, from selecting a piece of art to the final runway-ready product.
