Community Navigator volunteers through United Way of Kaw Valley will help clients to prepare paperwork, gather documentation, access community resources that might benefit and/or support their needs.
The Community Navigator program was established in partnership with many agencies across our community to build the capacity of non-profit partners, engage more community volunteers, and support individuals and families across our community. Some Navigators will be available at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library.
These volunteers will help clients:
- prepare paperwork including online applications
- gather documentation
- access community resources that might benefit and/or support their needs.
This program help deliver services that can help individuals become financially stable and creates a long-lasting connection to organizations that can assist individuals in the future as well. This allows for those most in need in our community have a successful initial meeting to access community resources and programs.
