Made up of over 30 professional musicians and music educators from around the region, the Free State Brass Band has been feature concert artists at the Kansas Music Educators Workshop and the Kansas Bandmasters Workshop, and has established itself as a competitive ensemble at both the North American Brass Band Association and the United States Open Brass Band Championships (3rd place in 2019 and 2021).
