WIFI Film Festival is dedicated to promoting and celebrating film production, stories from the Midwest, and education at Washburn University, in the Topeka community, and in the state of Kansas. The festival will be held virtually on April 22 - 24. The documentaries and workshops can be watched live on multiple platforms (YouTube, Facebook and Twitch) on April 22-24 at 11AM - 9PM.
In 2021 WIFI has a special focus on women and film to correspond to Washburn University’s WU Mester 2020 that was missed due to COVID-19. Many films and workshops featured are by and about women including one film created by an accomplished female director from Hollywood. WIFI also has a special focus on sustainability to correspond with Washburn University’s WUmester 2021.

Our mission is sparking curiosity and connecting our community through literacy and learning. The library features the Alice C. Sabatini Gallery, the Millennium Café, Chandler Booktique (bookstore and gift shop), free meeting rooms, computer training and free Wi-Fi access.
