Visit with an avid reader about your love of poetic works, or learn about it if you've never read poetry. This is an informal conversation not a presentation.
Poetry taps into our emotions and helps us explore our world and our feelings in ways we may have not imagined. Poetry, like music, allows us to experience a deeper understanding of how others navigate through the collective human experience. Poetry can connect us, but it can also be intimidating. If you're an avid poetry fan and want to talk with about your favorite works, or if you have always been curious about poetry, stop by and chat. Our reader will share some of their favorite poems and poets, and make a few book recommendations to help you get started on the path to becoming a poetry aficionado!
