Chair yoga is designed for everyone to develop strength and stability targeting hips, low back, glutes and quads. Masks are required and social distancing will be practiced.
For our Chair Yoga Practitioners, we modify standard yoga poses so that they can be done while the practitioner is seated in a chair. We are able to sequence classes so that the chair yoga practice is accessible to people who are ambulatory, people who are non-ambulatory, people who are not able to move easily from a standing position to a seated position, as well as people who have to sit for long periods of time to do their job. Our chair yoga sequences target hips, low back, glutes and quads, helping practitioners develop strength and stability. No previous organized exercise practice is necessary, as our classes are designed for everyone.
